Jim and Barb Buchanan reside in Prescott, Arizona, north of town in the Williamson Valley area. Jim has lived in Prescott since 1946 and Barb since 1958. They have 5 children, 4 of whom live in the Prescott area and 1 in California. They also have 12 grandchildren.

Jim is a financial planner and investment broker and has his office in Prescott since 1981, Buchanan Financial Planning. Barb is a premier banker with Wells Fargo Bank at the Miller Valley office in Prescott.

Jim and Barb are both horsemen who enjoy the back country. They are members of Back Country Horsemen of Central Arizona and Jim is President of Back Country Horsemen of Arizona a state organization of Back Country Horsemen.

They enjoy riding and camping whenever possible. Jim and Barb are active volunteers on trails and Forest issues. They are both involved with a number of other local organizations working to make their community the best it can be.
